Work has been beyond crazy the last few weeks forever, but finding things to get excited about hasn’t been particularly hard. Last weekend, my mom was down for a lovely 3-day visit and helped me to make my new apartment feel like a home.

And since Monday, I’ve put two 12-hour work days behind me. Last night was for Bandolero, but tonight is for wishing (another) coworker the best as she leaves at PS 7 before skipping over for a much overdue cut and color (ideas?!).

Tomorrow, another trip to Georgetown for a Jete Society Happy Hour at Peacock Cafe (Interested? Let me know!), followed by ANOTHER, but highly anticipated break at Bandolero to celebrate one of my absolute favorite’s birthdays (get the queso fundido)… celebrations which will take us out on Friday and to an outdoor cocktail-filled celebration on Saturday.

Hard to stay discouraged at work for too long when there’s so much fun to be had, right?
