It wouldn’t be fair to elude to our epic NYE without a little recap. Just got back from our “ski trip” which involved a 2.5 hour drive to a snow-less mountain with 13 party animals and more alcohol thank you could dream. Fireworks, mini-golf, dirty Apples to Apples, countless games of Jenga, no less than 4,501 bloody marys later…

A year ago tomorrow…
A year ago tomorrow, I found this space - a place to think; a place to share; a place to reflect. It has been all of those things for me, and then some.
2010 was a roller-coaster year. Full of surprises both good and bad. New turns. Forks in the road. Exciting detours and sad dead ends. Lots of perspective. And despite all of this, I can’t recall a year that I was so happy to be done with - bid adeiu, adios, au revoir! Nor can I recall a December 31st on which I was so excited to welcome a new year. My year. 20(11). (11 is my lucky number. That has to mean big things, right?)
I wasn’t quite sure what path this little blog would lead me down, and I’m still not sure of the road I’m on, but I’m thankful to have this here and you there. So, thank you for listening and thank you for sharing.
Serious question…
We are all well aware that 2010 has been the year of sparkle. Right? I mean, sequins left and right. Appropriate when? At all times. On work dresses, on dress shoes, on sweat pants, on heads bands, on everything. What was previously saved for special occasions has become everyday wear.

So… the question I pose to you, is what do you wear on special occasions now? Do I have to reinvent the wheel to outsparkle? Gold lame’? What is the answer? I need serious New Year’s Eve dress/shirt/pant inspiration… and fast.
